The MCB offers your business a service for the safe keeping of your valuables, for example business contracts. They are kept in a rented locker.
The rent is payable in advance, as from the date on which the lease agreement is signed. You are encouraged to pay the rent by standing order.
[Note that no commission is charged for the standing order.]

annual rental fee varies from Rs 500 to Rs 2000, depending on the locker's size.

Access to the Safe Deposit Locker is only during banking hours and is controlled with 2 safe keys.
Note that you may authorise a proxy to access the Safe Deposit Locker.
A replacement fee of Rs 7000 is charged for replacement of lock, if key is reported lost.

[Effective as from 10th January, 2003 and in accordance with the Value Added Tax Act (Finance Act 2002), a Value Added Tax (V.A.T) of 15%, payable to the Government of Mauritius, is charged on services in respect of Safe Deposit Lockers.]
