Signing up:
- Download and complete our merchant application formPDF 297KB
- Provide us with a business plan for start up or latest financial statement for existing business.
- MCB will perform due diligence which includes screening of website.
- The application will be presented to the e-commerce committee for review and decision.
Upon committee approval:
- For a foreign business, obtain a Global Business License for incorporation in Mauritius. Check our Global Business section.
- Open an account with MCB.
- Sign the merchant agreement.
Your website must satisfy minimum requirements:
- Good description of products and/or services.
- Active customer service contact.
- Full terms and conditions clause containing clear return and refund policy.
- Permanent establishment of the merchant clearly posted.
- Privacy policy.
Please take note that MCB will not accept businesses engaged in activities like:
- Adult material
- Pharmaceuticals
- Firearms
- Hate/Violence/Rape
- Replica/Counterfeit
- Tobacco
- Aggregation
- Child Pornography
- Bestiality
- Gambling (on case to case basis)
MCB reserves the right to decline any other line of business subject to committee review.
