MCB Rodrigues Scholarship

Each year, the MCB awards the MCB Rodrigues Scholarship to at least one student who is from Rodrigues and who has secured a seat at the University of Mauritius.

Eligibility

In order to apply for the scholarship, a student needs to have:
  • been born in Rodrigues
  • been a resident of Rodrigues at the time of sitting for the HSC exams
  • come from a family with low income
  • chosen a course that will allow him/her to contribute to the development of Rodrigues
  • shown commitment to return to Rodrigues after his/her studies

The scholarship is a monthly allowance covering:
  • Airfares
  • University charges
  • Accommodation
  • Books and other educational materials
  • Transport

The MCB Rodrigues Scholarship was launched in 2000 to mark the 10th anniversary of the Port Mathurin branch.
