Olympic Games Paris 2024 

Conditions of participation: 

1. The Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited (hereinafter "MCB"), whose registered office is located at 9-15, Sir William Newton Street, Port Louis, Republic of Mauritius, is offering this promotional offer, (hereinafter the "Offer"). 

2. The Offer is valid from 15 March to 31 May 2024 (including dates). 

3. A draw will be made during the month of June 2024 to designate the 3 winners to attend the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. 

4. Each winner will receive, as « Prize» a package for 2 people, including airfare, accommodation, guided tours and tickets to attend the various events . 

a. The first winner will attend the Opening Ceremony, the handball and fencing events 

b. The second and third winners will attend the swimming and tennis events. 

5. The Offer is opened only to MCB Visa cardholders (Classic, Gold, Platinum and Signature Credit Cards, Business Debit Cards, and Prepaid Cards), residing in Mauritius. 

6. Each customer, who has made payments, in Mauritius and/or abroad, by the means mentioned in clause 5, during the promotional period only, will be entered into the prize draw, subject to the criteria set out in these terms. 

a. The number of transactions made by a customer during the promotional period will be counted to determine the number of entries obtained by said customer. Card transactions will be posted at the primary cardholder level. As such, the transactions made on the auxiliary card(s) will be added to the transactions executed by the primary cardholder to determine the total number of transactions made 

b. One (1) entry will be credited to the customer for each payment made by card. 

7. A customer will not be able to win more than one Prize, regardless of the number of entries they have obtained. 

8. The registration of transactions carried out in Mauritius or abroad, will be done according to the date of authorization of each transaction, i.e., the day on which the transaction took place. 

9. Prizes cannot be sold, exchanged or refunded. 

10. Each winner, as well as his/her companion, must each carry a valid passport and any other necessary documents. 

11. The current or savings account linked to a card shall be in good standing or unblocked, and managed appropriately and satisfactorily, at MCB's discretion. In the event that the account is voluntarily or involuntarily closed, terminated or blocked, for any reason, before or after the promotion, MCB reserves the right not to offer the Prize. 

12. MCB employees, persons under 18 years of age, politically exposed persons, Rupys 13-17 prepaid cardholders, Business and Corporate credit cards, credit card holders who are in arrears with payment or who are subject to collection proceedings with our litigation department as well as customers whose card account(s) are in the process of being "collected" are not eligible for the offer. This non-eligibility criterion applies to primary and secondary cards, cards linked to a joint account, and cards linked to MCB employee accounts. 

13. Transactions made at automated teller machines ("ATMs"), bank branch counters (any bank), financial institutions, casinos, bets and cryptocurrency payments or transactions will not be counted. 

14. The publication of the names and photos of the winners will only take place subject to each winner's prior written consent to this effect. In the event that MCB has not obtained the consent of the winners, the lottery numbers will therefore be published in the press. 

15. MCB shall not be liable in the event that the winners are unable to take advantage of the Prize for a specific reason, or in the event of a dispute relating to the application of these conditions. 

16. The draw to determine the winners will take place at the headquarters of the Mauritius Turf Club, in the presence of a representative of the Gambling Regulatory Authority (hereinafter "GRA"). MCB will contact the winners by telephone or, failing that, by post sent to the customer's registered postal address available in our database. In the event that MCB is unable to contact a winner, the number drawn at random will be published in the press and it will be up to the winner to contact MCB. 

17. Each customer will be able to view his/her participation number(s) obtained, by calling 202 6060 or by visiting an MCB branch, at least 2 weeks after the end of the promotional period, i.e. from mid-June 2024. 

18. Participation in the Offer implies the unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions by each participating customer. Any person who contravenes one or more of the articles of these terms and conditions will be deprived of the opportunity to participate in the Offer, but also to benefit from the Prize that he or she may have won. 

19. In the event of any disagreement with the above terms and conditions, the decision of the MCB shall be final and without appeal.

20. MCB reserves the right to unilaterally review and modify these terms and conditions.
