Can I Touch & Pay for any amount?
Different limits apply for contactless payments locally and abroad.
Limits applicable locally:
- Transaction limit: You can Touch & Pay for a purchase up to Rs 2,500 without having to enter your PIN code. If the amount exceeds Rs 2,500, you will need to enter your PIN code to validate your payment.
- Total cumulative limit: You can continue to Touch & Pay for different purchases of Rs 2,500 (transaction limit) without having to enter your PIN code until the total cumulative amount reaches Rs 10,000.
Limits applicable abroad:
- Transaction limit: You can Touch & Pay for a purchase up to Rs 5,000 without having to enter your PIN code. If the amount exceeds Rs 5000, you will need to enter your PIN code to validate your payment.
Note: The transaction limit in each country differs. Though your card is enabled for a transaction limit of Rs 5,000, this amount could be less in another country depending on the country’s limit. Kindly ask the merchant if you can make a contactless payment before proceeding. - Total cumulative limit: You can continue to Touch & Pay for different purchases of Rs 5,000 (transaction limit depending on the country’s limit) without having to enter your PIN code until the total cumulative amount reaches Rs 10,000.
